Watercolor Class
Welcome to watercolor class in Mill Valley! This is a vibrant, creative class that's all about you, beginner or continuing student, and developing YOUR style, YOUR language. You can't get it wrong, you can only get it right as you become more and more yourself, pulling your inner dreams onto paper. Every week we'll have a new focus to delight and inspire you. Our class is fun, colorful, and encouraging.
The focus is on you in your private lessons in the artist's studio in the San Francisco Bay Area (Mill Valley). Learn techniques that work and use them to develop your own personal style. Learn what works and why, and how. Beginners will get the basics, and as you progress you'll learn more and apply more in your paintings.
You'll also learn various ways to start a painting successfully and to meet the white piece of paper with ease. You will find out how to tell when a painting is finished. And you will find out why it's important in watercolor to turn "mistakes" into "happy accidents" and how to do it. Go with the flow and take the "critic" out of critiquing. Silk painting classes
Come to the artist's studio and learn how to paint on silk with fabulous, rich and vibrant colors. I'll show you the easiest ways to prepare the silk, how to choose colors, how to get the colors you want,astounding special effects, and the easiest way to steam your silk at home without a lot of fancy equipment. Sharon is a certified PMC artist. Projects will teach you the techniques and skills to use silver clay, or PMC, while you have fun making beautiful jewelry and art pieces. Your work will be kiln fired for you. Private lessons only $40/hour. Supplies are available so you can get started right away.
